    Default I made my goal

I used to only fish for crappie in the spring. My goal for this year was to catch a crappie in each month of the year. I went fishing yesterday and caught 11. So, now I have caught a crappie in each month of the year.
All this was done on Lake Mitchell.

Good job, it seems much easier to pattern and follow the Crappie when you get more often. You get the advantage of finding them in the shallows in spring and then follow them back out to their summer areas.

Thats a good goal, I missed my bass goal by one type of bass last year. I wanted to catch a regulation largemouth, spot, redeye, shoal and smallmouth all in a 3 month period between Feb-April. I missed on the redeye, I caught several redeye on two trips down the Cahaba river but I never did catch one at least 12in long. I love setting those types of goals, it makes even a slow day on the water fun if you get to check off one of your fish. Me and my son turn it into a contest and keep a checklist on the wall in our lure/rod building room. Plus it will be some good memories for him as he gets older.
