    Default fishing report

I have been pulling cranks the past few days. Caught 9 Saturday and 5 this morning. didn't fish long either day due to big eye. For those that don't understand, big eye is the burning hot summer sun.
Bright yellow seamed to be the color of choice but I did get a few on mistake and white. 1.5 mph 10 lb line 300 series bandits. 82 degree water that was clear on Bankhead lake. No bigguns but all where respectable size. Also caught some nice slimy cats. Trash fish if ever there was one.

Rees Guide, please elaborate on the brella. I've seen a few in pictures but have never really researched it much. I have a Ranger with 1.77 seat posts I think that's the size. Better yet if any of you has a brella set up let me know how well they work. Thanks superfly.

That's why you see some of those guys on swamp people with the canopies made from tarp on the boat. A little shade helps a lot.

We are heading back to the Bluff Creek Club area in a couple of weeks; did pretty well in April despite rain and muddy water fishing with jigs and crappie nimbles over structure in coves. Any suggestions for this time of year?

Here is a link for an example of one you can make from PVC pipe. Just buy the beach umbrella and you are ready to go.

There's a good umbrella bracket called Reel Shade, $23 from Sportsman's Guide. I have several, bolts / screws on back of seat. Just watch it when you get out of seat, wind folds seat up!
