    Default Back to Gville Report

Finally made it back to do a little fishing on Gville yesterday in the rough wind. After 2 hours and 15 mins I had a limit of 30. Ended up catching 35 before getting all rods in, releasing 10 to clean 25. Back in time for breakfast. This does not count all the stripe and white bass, which were plentiful. Probably one of the best crankbait trips I have ever had as far as action.

Call, fine catch!!! Looks like you have a better place to crank than we do HA on the big G.Generally were you on the river edge or one of the many creek ledges?? Question , did the white crappie still have eggs in them ?? the ones we caught last week stil had eggs but were pale and being reasorbed. I dont think they are spawning much compared to the black crappie. The reason the whites are all bigguns is because they arent making little uns.I cant remember when i caught an undersized white on the big G the last 3 years.

I think there was one out of all them that still had a small egg sack, all others were void of eggs. I was just on a slightly sloped area, not really close to a creek channel and not even close to the river channel. An area I have caught them for the past couple years. They will be there for a little longer but will be gone by the time I make it back over around the 4th of July...
