    Default Guntersville or Weiss?

I have a spur of the moment decision to make. If you had the choice to fish either lake tomorrow and Friday 4/23 and 4/24, which one would you choose? I'm from ky and it looks like we might have to travel south to find some stable water. Reports and opinions appreciated.

Don't know as you can go wrong on either lake. Guntersville is my home lake. The fish on the Big G have not spawned yet. As a result they can be a little hard to find from m day to day. If you decide on Guntersville let me know if I can help in any way.

Mud creek is the only part I'm familiar with. Should it be productive or would you recommend somewhere else?

I have been catching fish one inlet down at Town Creek / Belefonte. I did pretty well last week when I went. The numbers were there but the slabs were few and far between. Weather permitting I will be on the water in the morning and let you know what I find.

Are you sure they haven't spawned yet? Friend of mine who lives at Beech Creek said he caught all his crappie (under his dock) back in February, and the females were full of eggs and males full of sperm. Since then, he has not caught any crappie there - but the carp have moved up under the docks and he said that usually means it's all over for the crappie at that point. I'd sure like to think the spawn hasn't started yet, but my 3 trips to South Sauty has only netted 4 fish on one occasion and nothing on the other two. Not disputing you, I'm very confused.
