Sounds like an awesome trip. Ditch stays on the fish from what I have seen in his post.
I met up with Ditchbasser around 8:30 near the Ditto pits and carted our kayaks the 3/4 mile or so down the worlds worst dirt road...knee high boots required! Once we got to the pond, Ditch had to wade out (he had waist high boots!) to cut a few branches out of our way just to launch...but once we got jigs in the water, the bite was on! Started a bit slow with white crappie hitting the jigs at 5 to 6 ft in 7 to 10 ft of water, mostly in the middle of the pond. As usual, Ditch out fished me 7 to 1 and he had a limit of crappie in about 3 hours. Remember, he usually throws back the biggest ones! THEN Ditch discovered that black crappie were hitting in 3 to 4 ft of water right at the weed line on the edge of the pond - and they were BIG. We put away the spider rigs and just dipped a single jig, right at the weed line, and I had my limit by 3 pm. Great weather, just a nice breeze to cool us off but not blow us all over the place. Once again, the hardest places to get to can sometimes hold the best fish. I'll leave the pics to Ditch since mine are all cleaned and in the freezer!

Glad to hear someone is catching them. It's been tough here of late.
