Liftbite was was right on the weights. The fish catching was crazy all day as we caught over 60 fish. The big bite just was not there like it was the week before. I cannot complain with the weather we have had the last 2 weeks and the wind we battled all day.

FTPmike how were you fishing? My friend and I went up to fish saturday, couldn't make the tournament but wanted to try it out. We struggled, my friend managed to put a few in the boat but i got skunked.

They are suspended in the river channel. Use a caps and Coleman rig 15 ft down pushed very slowly. I hope this helps.

After reading the info on Crappie USA looked like most of the teams were in the open water between 9 and little river? One around Bay Springs. Water temps, cold and wind I hated those guys didn't have some good weather would have loved to seen what they would have done if it was good week of weather before they fished! 1.59 big fish? Wow I figured on some 2+ ers.

You are correct on the location as you could walk across the boats on sat. I was surprised that there were no big fish either. In prefishing my best 7 went 13lbs. Best 30 minutes of crappie fishing in my life as I had never seen so many big crappie in one place. Tournament day it was 60 cookie cutter fish that weighed 3/4-1lb. Good filet size but not for tournaments. It was a great day of fishing considering the day before we only caught 3 fish.
