Somerville area here will keep an eye out on the river and creeks.

Just wanted to let yall know that I appreciate you folks keeping an eye out for my boat. Chances are I wont get it back because, as I understand it, there is a good chance that the old boat is probably already in a scrap yard (maybe multiple yards) by now. But its good to know that good people like yourselves are still around and willing to help out. So strong bites and smooth sets to all!!

Scrap yards are pretty good about keeping an eye out for stolen metal. We had a large stainless steel job stolen from the weld shop. It was recovered but after the job had been redone and sent out. It may be worth a try to call some yards and give a description of the boat to them. Only be out a little time on the phone. I still hope it will turn up for ya.

The investigator called and said he was gonna check them out but I'm gonna try to visit some of them and ask if I can do walk thru Friday.

A proactive approach may help you find it. At least you will know you checked. Wouldn't think they would take it too far. The price of fuel would eat up any money they would get for it

Went by three scrap yards today but they didn't have any flat bottom boats. The owner of one of them said if it was a good boat the thief probably wouldn't scrap it. So starting tomorrow I'll be checking some boat ramps.

May be a little cold for them in this weather. Not everyone is a die hard crappie fisherman. Ha
