Default Kayak Trip Report, Bradford Sinks

I fished Bradford Sinks on Redstone Arsenal from 6:30AM till around 9:30AM today. Hardest day catching I’ve ever had there, but still ended with a couple dozen Crappie caught. Half measured, keeping a dozen. I tried everything, but never got on a pattern.

I’ll have to come up with a new plan for tomorrow morning.

I noticed a change in the pattern of fish I caught yesterday too DB. Fall must be getting closer.

    Bob D,

The dozen I cleaned were all full of bait fish. I'm wondering if they gorged the night before ahead of the front and rain?

About daylight when I arrived there was no activity on the surface, not even bait fish. It looked like the whole pond was dead. At least I managed a few.

Hi Ditch Basser. Can you post a pic of the white marabou jigs you use. Do you buy them or tie them yourself ? They may be a lot cheaper than the BG tail that I have to replace when the bream bite the tip of the tail off . Great catch. Thanks

They're called Tinsel Jigs from Basspro

Bass Pro Shops® Marabou Tinsel Crappie Jigs | Bass Pro Shops

I like them because you can use the same jig all day without it coming untied.
