    What is a good rod for casting 1/16 jigs. I want a rod that will make long casts. Thanks!

    I have a St Croix 7' pan fish rod. Has a good feel, i put a pfluger trion spinning reel on it. Good setup.

    Longer rods help to make longer casts, but don't forget the reel and the line. All work together in the cast.

    Thinner line and a reel with a bigger spool will also help.
