Default Good no one is fishing G'ville lake

I see no one is posting about G'ville Lake crappie fishing this is also me. But I have been in and out of the Hospital
seen last May. I have been reading this site all year and no one is fishing G'vlle and not posting or just lurking as said before in another post. But after doing all of last years yard work I will start fishing very soon. I hope all will start posting about G'ville because I will as soon as I start fishing. Hope all are will.

That usually means not much is going on - and that's most likely the case. Not much going on for me, I'm catching ancient fish that can breathe on land. That could change soon. The crappie are definitely in transition right now. This exact time last year they were already up, but not so much this year. Also, shallow vegetation is gone, we're talking even lily pad stems for the most part, so oxygen may be a problem in spawning areas as well.

    Good luck

I found some in 18 ft of water holding at 3 ft. I got a limit it felt good after the last couple of outings. I caught these on minnow below a small ditch coming into the river. Males were jet black.

Like larrydavid said, there has not been much to post so far. The fish are finally starting to show up though. I had 29 on minnows Friday evening and me and Bob had almost 50 on jigs and minnows sunday morning. The bite was early Sunday and about dark Friday

If, I was doing it for a living, I would starve to death.

No one is talking because there is nothing to talk about LOL. Been Crappie fishing since Oct and only had only 2 days that we brought home fish. So i have put the green fish rods back in the boat and if one is not biting maybe the other will. This winter i have saw fewer people on the river than ever. Cub48

It's been slow at G'ville...i've done everything from long lining, vertical trolling, fishing bridges, fishing at night, etc...the best luck i have had was night fishing at honeycomb a few weeks ago and I only caught 10 and they were all between 7:30 and 9:00 PM.
