MePreach, I can understand why you are upset....I mean being followed both on the water, and off... on top of family members being called to find your honey holes is down right despicable, as well as against the law...That my friend is called stalking. Being followed once maybe...more than that is stalking. I don't post pic.'s or reports of fishing due to the fact it's been over a year since I've been able to go. I do make post's on here though, asking questions and giving what info I have learned. My health is improving very well, and am looking forward to getting back on the water in a big way as soon as I can. People on here have helped me in so many ways I can not begin to describe, and believe me, I AM VERY THANKFUL TO EVERYONE OF THEM....including the ones posting techniques on how they have fished. I don't get to anybodies fishing holes lately, but when I can I will be on the bank for awhile. To follow someone to there fishing spot would be down right disrespectfull. Now if they are invited to it. that's another matter. But to try to fish the spot when there is someone else there fishing is unsportsman like, and just goes to show everyone how much of a low life the intruding person is. Now if it were me in a kyak and somebody purposefully cut me off many times. I believe the authorities would have been notified of the boat ID number, and description of the occupants. What they did was very dangerous to both sets of boat occupants. When I go to fish I go to relax, and enjoy what the good lord has supplied in nature, not to have some low life ruin my day. I hope things get better for you MePreach, but until we start taking control back from some hoodlums, its not going to. Thanks everyone for letting me rant....Eric

I will be glad to help anyone any time . I usually will send them a pm if I have something to tell someone. The guys in Mississippi have a great forum and they sometimes have problems with lurkers. I am one of them, but I don't fish their waters. I enjoy their post and they seem to have a lot of fun with this forum. They are willing to help others and they do in many ways. I went to there Pickwick camp last fall and enjoyed it. Meet a lot of them, and made friends with a lot of new people it is good to be around people that are just like you and be able to discuss thing that you love and have in common Maybe we need a camp for the same reasons. I would enjoy meeting every one and making new friends and learn who you can trust and can't. I don't mind going to a new lake, maybe we could have a spring camp and a fall camp, go to lake martin on one and big g on the other this way people from the north and south can come and to which one that they could make. I am not able to fish with clubs because of my work schedule, most for there fishing is on my work days. To get back to the post, This is kind of like facebook don't tell every one you are going on vacation and get home and not expect to find your house not broken in to.

My cell number is out there publicly for business and some folks that do buy rod holders sometimes ask for info at times but it does not bother me. I normally invite them to come along or follow us around. I am pretty sure I do not have any secret honey holes as they pretty much do not exist anymore. If you fish a spot more than once a month, not going to be a secret for long.

Now people cutting me off on the water does get irratating sometimes. Most of the time, I do not even think the people doing it realizes what they are doing are really just do not care. I have mellowed out a little over the past few years so things do not get too me AS bad as they used to.

I know I seldom post on the Alabama board but I do drop in here now and then to see what's going on down there. I live near St. Louis and I bought a place I'm going to retire to at Ky Lake so I haven't gotten down your way since 2011.

I've been to Weiss and Neely Henry several times over the years and my wife and I were always treated great by folks in your area. I understand many of you getting ticked off at jerks who abuse your kindness but there are those like me that have learned a lot from the site and really appreciate the help you have given us.
I hope to get back down your way soon and if any of you make it up around Paris Landing at Ky. Lake I'd be honored to try to help you out with what little I know.

I agree with CrappieFlopper, I would really like the idea of an Alabama Crappie.com camp. I would love a chance to meet greet and eat with the other fisherman from our fine state. My only problem is that right now i work tuesday afternoon through sunday. But it would give more of us a chance to meet and get to know one another, make our community a little tighter

I have a ranger also love it almost as much as my wife. Not everyone that has one is rude.obviously I didn't get the right owners manual I also know lots of ranger owners that didn't.
