Default Fast start, slow finish but still great day

Friend across the street wanted to give long lining a try so we hit the water at sunrise. The first two hours were great. Found fish in 9 to 13 feet and were catching them on black and chartreuse trolling at .8 mph. As soon as the sun got full on the water everything slowed way down. Tried every color, speed and depth and couldn't get a consistent bite. We still caught them but had to work at it. Ended up bringing 35 keepers home, still not bad. was on logan Martin, water temp up a little to 54 fish were caught scattered in anywhere from 6 to 17 feet. Did find shad but could catch no fish around them. Oh and I'm eating some of them little suckers right now!!!

We got on the water around 8 and it was slow all day. We would catch a few real quick and then it would slow down. We did catch fish at every stop though. The crappie we caught on Logan seemed to be fatter than the ones we caught on Neely Saturday.
