Default Favorite color for pulling cranks on Gville

OK since my buddy and I are in the baby steps stage of pulling crank baits on Guntersville what are some of yalls favorite colors or names. We have had moderate success with a light blue and yellow bandit.

I am considering trying this. besides color I would like to know how you decide where to pull. just find the right depth and start or close to ledges or near a good spring producing flat? any help. I might try it in a couple of weeks.

What part of the lake is best for pulling cranks? Lower end near browns creek? Just wondering....never pulled them there and was thinking about trying it sometime this summer. Thanks

I too am new to pulling cranks. So when pulling cranks, do you set your rod holders in the rear or the side of the boat? Also do you guys cast out your longest or shortest rod first? Last question for now, how do you know when you got one on the line? Sorry for the newby questions but I am really mad at these crappies and have to figure this out.

I'm not trying to bust anybody's chops, but what ever went with going out and trying things on your own? Seems like everybody wants to be spoon-fed nowadays. Read. Do. Experiment. Then if you're not having luck, ask questions.
