Default Short trip to Honeycomb Friday evening

Got off work Friday at 4pm and made it to the water about 5pm. The wind was pretty stiff so i didnt try any of my spots at first decided to drift with the wind across the flats in front of the ramp after about an hour and half and only a handful of fish as the sun was touching the top off the mountain and began to get dusky dark i pulled onto one of the tree tops thats in about 10ft tied on a red head 1/32 with a blue ice and i could have kicked myself from the first cast to the last and one time while i was texting the wife with one hand and my rod in the other with the jig dangling probably about 6ft under the surface bam one about jerked it out of my hand i caught fish so fast i just threw them in the bottom of the boat one after the other til it got so dark i couldnt see!!!LOL!!!!! About 45 minutes 17 fish all over 13 inches just wished i had tried them first when i got there! Anyway i dont think ill stay that late again hard to load your boat in the dark and half blind!! LOL! Then to top it off a fuse blowed and no tail lights i was lucky to find a piece of wire skin it back and replace the fuse with it LOL! The water was 56 so it wont be long till they do their stuff temps next week in the 80s things are gonna heat up! Well yall have a great and blessed week and good fishing to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Job! I've been sidelined with busy stuff at work and haven't been in quite a while. I certainly enjoy reading your reports - they almost make up for the "no" water time.
