Till my buddy and I figure out the long lining thing ,all this high water will do is make my bank/bridge fishing better than it was before the rain!TVA had the big G down almost 2 ft and it was slowing them down in the places i had been doing well at from the bank,so hopefully i can get away and hit them fri afternoon and most of sat . We better get them before the big freeze hits us mon and tues, That will slow them down worse than any high water as a sudden cold like that seems to shock them for a few days at least in the places i have fished .Maybe it wont be too bad as they are calling for a quick warm up after wed.

Yea, went to Rays and paid him a visit. O'l guy has just about everything you can imagine. I priced a tilt/trim switch for the side of my motor and it was 67$ new. Ray had a used one for 15$, but said he wasnt gettin out in the rain to get one. I told him i would have it off before he got back in the office if he showed me where one was at. I ended up gettin rid of 3 anchor mates i took off my boat, bringin home3 quarts of amsoil oil, and a tilt/trim switch for 20$!! What he didnt know was i would have GAVE him the anchor mates! Hehe

Dont know about you guys in north Alabama but down here in central bama we are recieving all of yalls drainage.. The alabama river where i fish is expecting to crest at around 59fow around millers ferry the last time i checked. I know the current will be way too strong to fish the main channel for some slabs and the creeks might mave a little too much current as well to catch them. I dont know kinda new to crappie fishing. Might have caught a whopping grand total of 45 crappie since Feb. I have always been a die hard catfisherman and have not missed a weekend on the water since I bought my xpress back in feb. Whether im fishing the alabama river or the bay.. But i do know one thing with all of this high water with a temp around 52 degrees.... Them big ol cats will be biting well....
