    Default Madison County

I wondered if anyone fished the Madison County Lake in fall/winter season? I had some success fishing floats & minnows in early spring off the man made points.I also caught a couple limits trolling cranks in 8 to 15 ft in late spring - early summer.

I fish there quite often year round, especially if I have to make a short trip. Longlining or spiderrigging with jigs and minners in the fall/winter has worked best for me.

I've done good in the fall with spider rigging small minnows under floats. Also jigs with small minnows. For some reason they would not hit the larger minnows for me.

I have also caught them on jigs real slow during the winter. With all the new brush piles they put in this year, you ought to be able to pull a few out of there all year long.
