All I catch is bream and catfish too. Maybe it's the whole 90% of the fish are in 10% of the water rule. Maybe I just never found the crappie. I have only put my kayak in at the Hwy 31 boat ramp and gone about a mile or two up and down stream though.
We do not inherit the land and waters from our forefathers, but we borrow it from our future children.

Many go fishing all their lives without knowing it isn't fish they are after

Thanks mrl0004 I was afraid it was Me! I have noticed that alot of the bigger boats go way down Flint back toward hwy 67. I usually try to fish from the railroad bridge to Red Bank road area as to not get to far away from the dock with my old boat. Well good luck and I plan on drowning a few more minnows this weekend if I find em ill let you know!

There are crappie in that area but more tend to be caught early in the year and then again in October in the tree tops. There are also a few coves off the crrek back up that way that would probably be the best bet right now.

I fish Flint creek quite a bit but I always fish the areas from Hickory hills and Hwy 67,to the flats around Point Mallard to the mouth of Flint where it runs into the river and the Suzy and Allen holes under I-65 bridge.Try those areas and I believe your catch rates WILL go up,mine did.
Wishing ya`ll hard strikes and heavy stringers and slay those slabs
