That pisses me off too.
OK, while fishing today I am fishing a blow down in a slew. Minding my business, and enjoying the beautiful day with my 8 year old. He hangs up a lot so I troll out away from the tree to retie his jig. I am within 75 ft from my spot. This boat comes flying in...Pulls up right next to me, cuts me off and starts fishing right on me within talking distance, saying "you had any luck". I may take these things bad but when I see a boat fishing I respect their space. I have had this happen a lot lately with pressure being worse than I have ever seen it. I love to talk and talk fishing with guys I meet on the lake but is it not a common courtesy to give people a little space? I was always taught to do this. I just pulled the trolling motor up and said well, I guess its time to move on. Just cant believe some people these days. 2 grown men cutting off a father and a little boy... Is it just me or does this bother others? I guess if you all disagree I will just start doing it myself. haha. I just wanted to see some opinions. One more thing, this is on smith lake. Not a small lake where you have to get close or bridges. In those cases I understand..Its wide open so you can have a little space..Give me your opinion....
That pisses me off too.
Maddog, It wasn't me! lol I hear you brother and it has happen to me too. I had boat do that to me and the wife few weeks ago. Pulled to a place and trolled past to turn and get boat in position and boat flew in and set up up camp on spot with me not 50 feet away. I did the same just pulled up motor and left........but not without washing them out with pretty good wake. I hate to be like that but me and you fish same place and there is hundreds of places to fish without crowding someone. Finally good to meet you the other day....Has the technique working out with little man?
I have been bank fishing and had boats pull right up on top of where i fish, also had some guys with waders wade right directly in front of my casting area after I had been there fishing first, happens to me more than I can count and it ticks me off because I do not get to fish much
The guys that did that to you have no respect and they are jerk offs.I knew some folks that were cut off from a spot like that before.Words were exchanged then then the rude person said to the guys he cut off, made threats he had killed better people then him beforethe guys left after that, no since at being killed over fishing. It was late it night and the person said only 2 vehicles remained at the boat ramp. His and the rude person that threaten his life.Use your imagination from here out..
Ignorance and disrespect cannot be bought with Mastercard.
Stuff like that makes me so glad I have a private lake to fish. I don't have to deal with rude idiots!!!!!!

Well I am glad to see I am not the only one that thinks this way! I wanted to try to wash them out but my old reliable johnson let me down.haha. I was real close to them, fired her up, and went to kick it and she bogged down twice... I bet those boyz really thought they got me good. Some one will do this to them one day and maybe they will see the light but I doubt it. If my boy had not been with me I may have popped a few words but felt it was better just to move on than to get all wound up... I have had people get too close a lot but this topped them all. I was still in casting distance. Maybe next time I will just take one more quick cast right at their head...hahahaha
