i have a good friend, moving from s.e oklahoma, would love to know about good crappie lakes close by.i do mostly jig fishing.

Lake Martin is within a hours drive of Montgomery, good crappie, bass etc fishing. Alabama river also is claimed to be good for crappie fishing.

Lake Jordan, been fishing this lake for 20 years.
Really big crappie, and plenty of them.......
stay away from the lake on Sat., usually at least 3 big bass tournaments going on every weekend of the year on this lake.
