I think they're on the move to the shallows. Wednesday nothing as well, bridges and all around. Friday afternoon I found a few crappie starting to show up shallow, finally. Also, the shellcracker and giant redear sunfish are biting. They seemed to like the jig moving. I went back and forth within 100 yards between the crappie and bluegill, so it's starting to get good. I did have to cover a lot of ground to find them, really surprised my trolling motor kept rolling. I fished all day Friday, from sunup to sundown. I got there at 7 a.m. and had to park away from the ramp, it was so full. Then, I had to wait an hour after dark to put 'er up. I should have just kept fishing. Lots of folks out there.

And I caught a lot of stripe early, first 10 casts and I got 6 stripes, nice ones, about a pound each. All I got around the bridge I fished around noon was stripe. You can catch them all day, but when I found the brim and crappie, no stripe around. Bass were there, too, but no stripes.

I went yesterday and had 7 nice crappie. They were getting their spawning colors. One of them was as black as the ace of spaids. It was a male and I think he had already been working on a bed. I caught a crap load of yellow stripe and about 10 white stripe that were probably 2 pounds.

Managed to catch 20 keepers yesterday along Hwy 79. One of them was a real pig over 16" and 2 lbs +. Most of them were on minnows 3' under a bobber in the dark.

Bob D, the place I caught mine at last week there were 3 caught there over 3 pounds just a few days before I fished it. Mine was not 3 pounds, but they were good fish. I am thinking about going some during my spring break, so pm me when you get a chance.

Be looking around grass very shallow, 2 fow and less around grass. Went Sat. evening and fished water 4' - 7' and caught 2 fish. Sunday morning I fished the same area, but I fished 2 fow and less and caught 25.
