    Default Last Night

fished from 5 to 9 p.m we caught 15 crappie 4 cats some bass and a bunch of stripes. The crappie were very nice but only 7 were keepers.
A lot of folks fishing last night must have been 10 were I was scattered along the rip rap.The fish were biting 14 inches to 4 foot deep.Bait fish were thick all along the bank you could see the bass and crappie run up just inches from the bank to grab a minnow.
We lost some nice crappie last night breaking us off in the rocks no way around it .To dangerous at night trying to chase down a crappie lol.

That's fun when they come zooming in like that. Loose drag helps to slow down the break offs. What body of water were you on?

I wished I could stay awake at night to do some fishing! My eyelids get too heavy! Sounds like you had a good trip!
An ungrateful man is like hog under a tree eating acorns, but never looking up to see where they come from!

Bob we fished in front of Priston Island from the rocks. It's a long walk and dangerous because of the 18 wheelers that fly by .But worth it when you can see some of the slabs that come from this place.

alabamaal, that reminds me of one time when I was fishing by boat in front of that little bridge there. I hooked this giant bass on a worm. Got it in and it was 24 inches long, but the thing about it was it was long and slender and was one of those that felt like I was holding a piece of paper. No weight to it at all. I bet it only weighed a couple pounds. Anyway, these two guys were driving by in a pickup, they did a double take, and nearly went right in the lake. Good thing no anglers were walking ...

Thanks alabamaal! I've caught some nice slabs from that causeway myself. You're right about the trucks and traffic though.
