    Default Longline Trolling?

I searched for it but could not find anything! Does anyone have a chart that will tell the speed vs depth ratio? and how much line needs to be out? thanks for any help!

If you're talking about jigs, it's trial and error. Speed, length of line, # test of line, and jig weight are the variables.

Troll your jigs over clean flats and watch your rod tip to see when they start bumping bottom is the way most folks do it.

Here's the best I've seen : http://www.crappie.com/crappie/archi...h-chart-2.html (see the chart in Tapout's post) Now, it is a Bandit crankbait chart ... but, it should be close with similar sized cranks.

You can get that same exact information for hundreds of cranks in the Precision Trollers Bible it's a ring bound book with water and tear proof pages. It retails for $35-$50 depending where you buy it... worth the money if you plan to do a lot of crank trolling.
