The weather should be nice and the fish should be biting!
My advice to you would be don't waste too much time sleeping.
Start watching the 'Bama board here a couple weeks before your trip for reports.
Hey Weiss guys. I have made several spring trips to Weiss with mixed results, but I love the lake. I am planning a trip the first weekend in November. Could any of you give me any info or advice for that time of year? Might stay at Pruetts because I know that part of the lake best.

Come out of Pruitts and follow the cossa channel up river. Start looking for boats near Riverside. They will be bumping the channel edges.
Don't be afraid to break away from the pack and do some long line trolling in the shallows either! 60* water temps means Crappie in shallow water... something some anglers may not want you to know!
Shoot docks on main river channels or bottom bounce the Coosa, Chatooga, and Little River channel ledges ( 8 to 16 ft.) with minnows and jigs.
When the night temps hit the low 60's and 50's - go fishing
Sept., Oct., Nov., & December can all be good and sometimes great.

Thanks for the info guys. Fall fishing here on my home lake is big fish time but I need a change of scenery. Is there a good jig and cork bite in the creeks there that time of year? I am really a one rod fisherman most the time if I can find 'em that way.

just remember to be careful water has dropped a good bit on weiss! I was out this morning doing a little fishin and water seemed to be down about 1 1/2 to 2ft.
An ungrateful man is like hog under a tree eating acorns, but never looking up to see where they come from!
YES, cork and jigs work well in the fall.
Try the Chattooga River from Cobia bridge in Cedar Bluff ( launch there ) and fish the many stumps going up-river on the river ledge. Also try main Coosa river from Cowan Creek up-river past Riverside and fish log jams on river ledge.
