    My father-in-law caught these this past Sunday. I've never seen this happen. The snake made a bee line for the Bluegill as soon as it hit the top of the water. We were able to get these pics and finally shook it loose. He didn't want to let go though!

    Yes it happened to me just a few days back. I was fishing an old coal loading pier on the TN river. The snake was striking at my bobber and I knew if I caught a bream he would try and get it. I stuck a bream and he grabbed it like it was his last meal. I pulled that snake all the way up the side of the pier which is about 20 feet off the water. The snake never let go. He ripped the bluegill right off the hook. I did not have my camera ready to get pictures. One place I use to fish was covered in snakes. I pulled my basket up one day and had more snakes in it than fish. That is a great picture you have there. I just wonder how that snakes thinks he is going to swallow that gill. GCD, I could not remember if I posted about that snake, but I must have since you posted that. how else would you know lol. I know you have lots of talents but your not that good ha ha

    I have some pictures just like that except the fish is alot smaller and the last two pictures the snake is swimming away with the fish....Lol!
    My sister sent them to me. She didn't take the pictures as she was the one screaming and running up the hill....Lol!

    Never said they didn't serve a purpose...just that I hate them. Dead rats and mice don't keep me from getting the cold chill shivers when I see a snake! Just me
