Years ago we fished some in Mud Creek. Most of our big bass came from the Pine Island area in Feb. Some hogs in that area. Good luck! My bro in law has been catching crappie in and around the Beach Creek area.

Not sure what Mud Creek you are refering too, but the one in the Fackler area is a great area for bass, crappie, and shell cracker. I hope you enjoy your 3 days and please let us know the results
So you're the one who caught the 10 pounder out of Mud Creek, great catch! When you come out of where you are staying next, head for the river, turn right and stay on that south side of the river bank. Go into the first cove, it's great, when you get done cleaning house there (you can spend all day in each of these coves), go to the next cove (same bank) it's Murphy Hill, another outstanding cove, then go to the next cove with two little islands out front that's Church House fish the inside south bank at about 6 foot throwing in then work your way in, then if you continue east that's South Sauty fish the first boat houses you see on the right --- there's still crappie there, everywhere else is bass and shellcrackers, stripe and brim. You can try the South Sauty bridge for crappie for a change of paste, fish the edges of it, too, then go under the bridge. Look left, see the big two story house, pull up in front of it and fish that. There you go, that's where the guides would take you, but the only difference is they want 200 dollars for that info. Everyone send your checks to Larry David, care of his little ones' college funds. Have fun. If you want numbers, look for the schooling fish, troll up to them and hang on. They started schooling hard on Friday when I went out. Don't be surprised if a biggie is up under them getting their swill. Oh by the way, this area is where most of the lake records have come from.
