    Question Lake Martin

Is anyone fishing lake Martin. I have been there sight seeing but not really fishing . I never see any fishing reports on Martin. Is it a dead sea , is the water too clear or what is the problem? I like Bama and Auburn, so I cant be a bad guy. Somebody comment on marten. Please , talk to me.

Lake Martin has plenty of crappie, spots, white and striped bass. It's an old lake so most of the crappie cover is around docks and piers

Martin is a very good fishing lake. The problem is that it is pretty large with a lot of little nooks and crannies, so it takes awhile to learn it. Also, it is quite busy during the warmer months with recreational boaters, skiers, ski-dos, pontoons, etc. If I lived closer I would fish it more regularly.

I really appreciate the info. I was on that water about 3 yrs ago just trying to get some hours on a new boat. Very clear water. I believe a man could get lost on that lake without a gps. Thanks again.

I wish I could tell you. In my green carp fishin days I often went to Jordan and loved it. I fish the Alabama River so often (it is real close to house) that I hardly ever go to Jordan. I know people who live on Jordan and they always have a bunch of crappie ready to fry. I am kickin myself now for not going to Jordan more because the Ala River is going crazy--running fast and very high. I'm going to have to go there and learn it for those times I can't fish the river. Sorry I'm not much help to you.
