    what date is the optimal time to buy out of state license ? want to fish Tuscumbia area and waterloo for catfish and the tva lakes for crappie . Was told first of August or last day of August can't remember which .

    Crazy I know ! But they expire August 31st! It ought to be like Mississippi from the date purchased the next year but they changed it several years back! I guess they figured they could get a little xtra revenue!
    Too blessed to be stressed!
