This is how I see it...The SEC plays Big Ten football from the Big Ten glory days...the coaches in the SEC (from B1G roots) have brought that to the SEC...they were also able to incorporate the "Speed" of the defensive line that the Big Ten never had. That is the Main difference between the 2 leagues...defensive line speed and depth of it. The Big Ten has plenty of skill speed and huge offensive linemen...defensive lines are the need that everyone is going after...QB is a position of need for any team...you will not win without one...Urban has a skill to find the gems needed to run his power spread...now, Urban has taken it to new levels at Ohio State...he is able to get exactly what he needs from The Big Ten area and supplement speed where needed to beat Saban...he built his teams to play with and beat Alabama....that is a compliment to what Saban has built.
In 2 years, both teams will have to contend with USC again....they are climbing fast and will be another power soon!
