The thing that gets me mad is the team that plays against LSU for the national title won't be half as good as Alabama.

Someone said Bama was the better team. No they weren't. Bama was exposed on special teams and lack of dept at wide receiver, period. Saban just forgot to buy a kicker, and face it Bama offense totally melted down in overtime. That's classic Alabama football: defense practically hands the game to you, and the offense lays an egg.

That said, I still think Bama is the second best team in the nation.

funbun, Bama outgained LSU in rushing and in passing. We do not have a lack of depth at receiver, all the sports media said all week that LSU had the better receivers and that might be the difference in the game. Come to find out Bama's receivers outgained LSU's. Yes our kicking game sucked, but the kicking game alone does not make us the second best team, it jsut makes us the second best in kicking in that game. The one guy who had been giving Bama a hard time did admit Bama outplayed LSU on offense, just did not capitalize on opportunities. Bama's offense did not melt down, the first pass on the inside screen waas dropped, then they made a simple penalty that happens many times, just happened to be at a bad point in the game, and then AJ took a sack. They should have been running the ball there instead of throwing on that series. A tennessee fan told me before the game that he thought LSU would win only because they are lucky and will get a few lucky breaks in the game. He was dead on, they got lucky that Bama does not have a good field goal kicker and also got lucky that the officials ruled an interception that was not. If OK beats OK State and Oregon beats Stanford, and we should happen to get a rematch and lose, then and only then will I say LSU is the better team. You remember the year Florida State beat Florida in a close game in regular season due to a few close calls and then Florida overpowered them for the National Title, I think this situation is very similar, a few mistakes cost us this time.

I will admit that goal line interception was totally bogus. Bad call. Bama would have driven in a touchdown if it had gone through. But, we could look at numbers all day, the truth is that Bama lost. I'm a Bama fan, went to school there and everything. In a high stakes game this this one those little penalties and mistakes lose the game, period.

If we had not have had the block in the back on the interception return we would have had the ball inside the 5 and prolly scored then. BUT, we did and we just got beat. As for LSU being the better team, yea, they are right now. As far anybody else in the country being better that us, I don't think so. Those are the two best defenses in the country and defense beats offense every time. Jus look at last years NC game. It wasn't Oregon's high powered offense that won it. It was that other teams defense that did it. (Pffffft). There ain't an offense no where that will run up and down the field on those two defenses. And besides, ok state and stanford ain't got the defense to stop either LSU or Bama's offense for a whole game. Rtr. Lesticles jus thinks he'd be honored to play us again.

Oh yea, what everybody has forgotten to mention is that Tyrann Mathieu is a thug and somebody should break his leg. He's a dirty player and it should when he clotheslined Kirkpatrick on that punt. They oughta throwed his dopeheaded arse slap out of tuscaloosa.

see those reasons are why I say Bama is the better team, without the stupid block in the back that did not effect the play, we probably score a touchdown or atleast a fieldgoal from that close, without the rob on the interception we definitely score a touchdown there. We clearly outgained LSU in all phases of the game. We jsut could not kick a field goal. I know we can say ifs and buts all day, but anyone who watched the game if they honestly tell the truth knows bama should have won. I do agree the guy should have gotten thrown out, they only called him for holding when it should have been a personal foul. Oh well, no need for me to keep whining about it, I just hope we get a rematch. If not, I hope LSU wins it all.
