and april is the time to fish it. went last year for first time, and we caught alot of fish for not knowing where to go. but I understand if its too far for yall, its just a real impressive place to me. yall are doing the traveling so whatever is most convenient
for the group is ok with me. I am on call at work one weekend a month but could possibly work around that.
The extra drive ain't no problem with me. What town do you live in, I was looking at the map and didn't see many RV parks at the water either. Why I ask about your home town cause it sounds like you real close.
How about motels or cabins on the water or real close to the water? I'm still looking and sure I will find something between now and April. I've just got spoilled to cousin's RV :D the only way to camp
I'm going now to look at Prarie Creek.

Pencil me in for Auburn! Only a pencil for now as I have a couple of projects that will be starting up late March/early April. So it really depends on when you get this goin.

Now an important question. My partner, Litlest Sty is an Alabama fan ( them dern Winfield School teachers ). If he a goin with me, and we only have the one live well... Well, nevermind. I guess they'll all be Auburn fishes.

I havnt EVER fished The Alabama River... I think them barn boys are getting nervous. Draggin us farther south to their neck of the woods.
Next they will be asking to fish in one of the local ponds close to the Barn Fan Campus. LOL!!! Is there a fountain in front of the campus we can fish in?? Swimming pool? HeHe...

I vote for Lay, or Logan Martin. But dont mind fishing where ever majority wants. I rather be able to drive there the morning of if possible.

I live in Columbiana not far at all from Lay Lake, not really any campgrounds close to the water here and I dont know of any cabins etc. Prarie Creek is state run I think, launched there last year, looked like a real nice campground and the lake is very nice
saw about 10-12 boats all day, and I really think everyone could catch fish. last year we carried 2 boats 5 fisherman day and a half of fishin, brought home 120. on Lay Lacoosa marina rents rv lots but most are full time(stay year round) but I could check for an empty for ya

I will most likely have to do a motel room it sounds like. That's ok.
It sounds like we need to do Lay Lake cause this seem to be getting too far South for most
I've done some work in Columbiana, but for the life of me I can't remember where :D old age I guess.
I guess there is some good ramps and such around there???
Seems we are getting more interest so this maybe a good weekend :D
