Never had much luck with artificial on crackers
I know the preferred live bait for targeting red ears is wiggelers but what is a good artificial to use to go after them. I never have caught very many but that's a new challenge I want to try

My wife lets me buy all the rods and reels I can hide.
A black jig 1/32 with nibbles will get them. Fish slow under cork just above bottom.
I've had good luck with a 1/32 black or brown hair jig under a float.
Try a hair jig 1/32nd or 1/64th under a weighted float and fish it slowly back to you occasionally shacking your rod. They will hit it. Fish it 2 to 3 foot deep. Best colors is brown, black and green, or white. Works for me.
Thanks y'all I'm gonna try the hair jigs

Next time you at woolly world pick u up some keystone minnows get the orangest bellies you can find get you some fast dry super glue and glue it to the jig head as you thread the hook through the pre cut hole glue it to the hook also . If u don't glues it .it will tare after 5-6 fish. fish it under a float .u will be amased of the fish u will catch on one of those.
I use a little hair jig, 1/64 or 1/48 th tipped with wax worm or red worm under a float. Keystone minnows are excellent but like slabprowler said you have to super glue them. The best thing I have found is ice jigs. You can find them on the internet. tip these with worm of some kind and they are irresistible to bream and crackers. lot of shapes available and all work but I like the teardrop shape the best. Fish under float
squirrel tail jigs with a cork and a small 1/32 road runner works or any tiny spinner bait. Crème baits makes a good one sold at wally world the pearl and the green are best for me, that comes with a small minnow attached to it that looks a lot like a Keystone minnow
