Woke up to thunderstorms this morning. My wife had PT at 11 so if I was lucky , maybe I could catch a break in the thunderstorms . The rain slacked upas I dropped my wife off and I headed to the docks . Last night I kinda prepared for a quick fishing trip . Hoping for a gap in the rain . I spooled up a Daiwa Fuego lt1000 with 2# Floroclear...

The silicone hose between the pickup tube and connected fitting on top of the tank had gotten hard and relaxed just enough. Put a zip tie on it and I’m back in business. Couldn’t go to a different part of the river than yesterday and not try my luck. I found a few...

Looked to be a lot of grinding for lack of a better word. I did catch several females and they spewed eggs; they were released immediately. I think I'll...

launched at 7 and fished till 11:30 am. PICO Chrome Clown, Mud Bug, Killer Bee, and Fire Tiger were best colors. Chrome Clown even nailed around a 10lb flat head cat and ended up bending the hooks getting him released. Kept 23 crappie from 10” to 13.5” with all but 3 were males and the rest were females full of eggs not quite ready to spawn. ...

Just how long a fishing rod do you need to go crappie fishing with? First you have to answer what technique you are using to catch your crappie. While shorter fishing rods are better for accurate casting a longer rod is normally used when forward facing sonar fishing. Fishing poles have changed over the years from 2,000 B.C. even earlier in...
