D, it’s getting like duck hunting. Redfish, trout and snook are what most folks target here. The grasses in mosquito lagoon took a bad hit a few years back and the trout and other fish took the hit along with the grass. Our grass is returning and the fish now have the ambush ability back and the shrimp and others have a place to hide. So with that said, our redfish aren’t able to be taken at all. Snook have to be 28 to 32” I think and I would be allowed one when their season isn’t closed. Seatrout I would be allowed 2 from 15-19” and one of those can be an oversized fish over 19”. I was told that their season is closed so there’s that. I don’t depend on the food value but love the experience and fight they all give. Mismanagement of our water systems resulted in over fertile water that caused red and brown tides that caused all these issues and it’s a long recovery that’s underway. Point is, if I want anything to be left for my kids and grands, this is the pill I’m forced to swallow. Better things ahead, I pray.
