I have the 6 and 7 foot ones. I shoot docks with them and flip fish into the boat. They have landed some big cats and a large mirror carp. They have been very tough
How many of you own / fish with ACC Crappie Stix?
I’m thinking of getting the 8’ I keep seeing ads for on Facebook. I’m a little concerned with using it in my kayak or pond prowler though, as I only carry a little hand held net when I take those boats. It’s like a fly fisherman’s net. Wondering if that long of a rod will cause me issues trying to net fish. Maybe not. It’s about a foot to a foot and a half longer than what I’m currently using, but it’s a different power / action.
All the best,
Glenn

I had the 8’ ACC cork handle rod and gave it to my buddy. While I liked the rod and action I didn’t like the microwave guides on it. At first using an 8’ rod felt weird but now it’s normal and even short. I have up to 14’ rods I fish with now. The 8’ is about as far as I can stretch to reach the tip, otherwise you have to take the rod apart to reach tip in a kayak. If ACC changed the guides I would like the rod much better.

I have a 10 & 13 foot jigging rod & really like them. Lately i've been using the 10 footer all the time making short pitches to them & would like to have a couple more of the them.

Like many things , it's what you get used/started with . Bought two(12 rear seat ) sent them back and swapped for two (mid seat 12 ft ). All too stiff for my liking . Sold mine and returned to B/M Sam Heaton super sensitives . I should have known that I would prefer another rod because I do not like B/M Brush Cutter rods either . I like fast tip and net all fish . wrong for me but may be just right for you . B/m says not to boat flip fish with any of their rods . Folks at ACC was great and did allow me to swap out at no charge , just as they claim . B/M is not far from my house and most grow up or start with some type rod from there . They are all good .

Rod length should be a non issue netting fish unless your fishing under a tree canopy or under a bridge.
I do it with my 12 and 14 foot poles from my kayak and pirogue.
Never used ACC rods. I use the Berkley C series. Solid carbon fiber tip. Never had one break yet.

Some good info here. I fish out of a twelve foot solo canoe and generally prefer short ultra light rods. But I was considering a longish jigging pole. Just don't know if I would like the length in my canoe. I will have to give ACC a look.
