It's the stuff you learn after you think you know it all that's REALLY important!

Just apply tea tree oil, and you be OK.

I have only been stung once. One got me in the front shoulder while the other got me in the back shoulder blade. I did have a friend who picked a wild pear off a tree and while rotating it to take a bite he found the opposite side had 4 or 5 yellow jackets. They sting him in the lip and mouth. He looked like he had went 12 rounds with Mike Tyson. We were around 12 years old then and that picture of his face has stuck with me all these years. I give them their space when I encounter them.

My story isn't about me but my oldest son. Told him to clean a fence row while I was at the plant working. Needless to say, he came running through the yard and jumped into the pool. He got nailed several times. By the time I got home, he was feeling sick, so to the hospital we go. On the way, I looked over at him, and he had taken a different form. He looked kinda like the blob from the neck up. Not wanting to scare him I just sped up. The Dr in the er was a family friend and popped him with a shot. Everything turned out good we now keep epi pens for him even at our house. I know this is long but every time I see a movie where someone swells up after a bite or sting. I think of that day and laugh at how he looked. (It wasn't funny at the time.) PSA the Dr told us each time you are stung, your resistance goes down. He said some people it will never bother other than the sting itself.
