Jeff took me out today. What a perfect day. Mild wind, mild temp, the water looked as nice as I can ever remember.
We really didn’t care if we caught fish today, but the bite could have better. We did a blend of scoping and dipping.
We had a few in the boat and here’s where thing went wrong.
I talked the wife into frying it up the way she likes….and now it’s her favorite. She’s says I have to take up walleye fishing.

Have caught a few decent walleyes here and in Ontario. If you don't catch them a lot, I would suggest you check out some videos on youtube. Try a search for How to zipper walleye? There are a few videos that show a very easy way to remove the lateral bones that remain after the filet is taken off. You may have done that already. I learned about it after cleaning a lot of walleyes.
Also search for Walleye Wings. Few videos show how to remove this tasty piece off the fish. And lastly, search for Walleye cheeks. Its amazing how much meat you can get off of one walleye using those tricks.
I need to get out soon. Nice pictures of your fish!
