Some nice looking reels
I wish that’s what the red knob was for.
It holds the spool in place and allows you to remove it. It screws down to a certain point and doesn’t get any tighter and doesn’t touch to spool at all.
I appreciate the feedback and again, that would make a lot of sense! Thank you!
Some nice looking reels
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass alongTXSlab LIKED above post
I have never seen a ice reel with a paddle handle release like that. On the Eagle Claw you simply push a button located at the base of the handle. When using mines it is simply a upgraded line holder. 99% of the time I am either fishing straight down or pitching the bait and letting it come back to me.
There are quite a few YT videos on these reels and the upgraded version as well.

In your first post (#13) you show a photo of an ICX Frost and that is the reel I asked about.
Then in your response to my question about price, you show a photo of an ICX Carbon.
These are different reels with different prices. I just looked on Amazon and the ICX Carbon can be bought for $39.99, but price for the ICX Frost is $59.99.
I did say in my original post the lowest price I had seen on an ICX Frost was $70.00, so I was $10 off.
