Hello and Welcome aboard
Howdy from The City of Lone Star, from the Lone Star State.
I live across a great lake called Lake the O' Pines.
Been in East Texas since 74, I'm 67 and like long walks on moonlight beaches, wait, sorry wrong forum... lol
I do love fishing being retired I still don't do it enough. Hoping to buy an outboard motor for a boat given to me
cheap suckers didn't give me a good boat motor, I'm kidding of course! Was from a very dear friend who past shortly
afterwords my regret she and I didn't get to fish in it together.
I have been fortunate to have traveled the past 10 years in a 5th wheel and got to fish in a lot of different areas of our great country.
Volunteered at a few hatcheries and most states give you a free fishing license. Pikes in ND were fun they like to try and bite you.
I loved the Port O'Connor area of the Gulf of Mexico. Speckled trout, flounder, red fish, and sheep heads(they tasted the best) also
fought the hardest. I came close to catching the state record mine came up a little over 1/2 short of the record. I know fish tales right?
Picture weight 19 labs, but I did actually you know darn newbies.
Even the smallest sheep head fights like bigger fish. Of course, there were some sharks which I didn't like so well. Never tried eating one tho.
Hope to learn more about Crappie fishing from here actually have done much crappie fishing. I started about 12 years ago trying to fish to learn to fish.
I'm doing good I'm up to 6 poles I swear they are breading out in my shop as we speak. Found a three-hundred-dollar reel with a rod,
Shimano Curado DC bait cast reel what a great find. It was during a tournament on the lake in the spring. I figured someone got tangled up and they
had to make it back to weigh in, I guess. It's everything they say since adjusting it correctly no backlash. Backlash is my middle name.
Bought a few and bought some at an auction, was cleaning them up yesterday and was surprised I had that many.
Well, thanks for letting me join. Watching a youtube video from "Gene the fishing Machine" and him receiving a cup holder I saw y'all's site. Oh yeah he's a mess, but fun..
