I was gifted an old, refurbished 5wt glass rod some years ago by a member on another site. I got me an inexpensive reel and line at wally world. I've never had formal lessons of any kind. but I break it out, knock the cobb webs off and try a couple times a year. Instead of an actual fly, I tie on a piece of yarn. But my old eyes is having a really hard time with that cobb web sized 6x tippet line and trying to tie a knot...I have an easier time tying a knot with 2 lb test line, and that's not easy either...just sayin'.
Proud to have served with and supported the Units I was in: 1st IDF, 9th INF, 558th USAAG (Greece), 7th Transportation Brigade, 6th MEDSOM (Korea), III Corp, 8th IDF, 3rd Armor Div.
