Thanks, I ordered one. I had a 500y coupon and another 400y in "points", so this was a pretty good deal at $155 all in. I think this rod will also be good for stocker trout on the "hooch", or any tight creek panfishing. I watched a few videos about it, and it looks pretty sensitive by the tiny size of some of the fish caught with it. I'll review it down the road.

Follow-up: rod is here already! FedX, 3 days from clicking "confirm" to my hand. Unboxing the securely packed shipping tube revealed a beautiful MIJ fit and finish rod, with a nice deep blue finish. The quality is readily apparent, and I could find no defects upon inspection; just a beautiful rod, indeed. Feels a little stiff, but still whippy in hand, and the lightest rod I own. I paired it with a Daiwa Ballistic LT FW 1000s spooled with 3 lb Varivas Twitch Master. Going after some finicky, light-biting crappie tomorrow, and hopefully I can find some shellcracker/bg to test it out as well. If a school of spotted bass blow up close enough, I'm going to cast right in the middle of them. I'll try to get pictures and will do a separate thread for the rod review.

Wow! I don't know how they do it. I don't think you would have gotten it that quick from a U.S. seller. Looking forward to your review.

Yamaga Blanks make a fine rod. The 67 TZ was one of the first rods I ordered from Japan...then came the 65 TZ and then the 83 TZ Long Cast...LOL. Looking forward to reading you review of the Blue Clue Curent III model.

Oh my my my. I just got my hands on the 6’10” Tenyru Lunakia and it is a thing of beauty. I held off for so long because I felt like it would be similar to several other rods I own but when I found it on sale I had to click the buy button. Here are some pics

Nice, JDM tackle heaven had them at 35% off, under $200, quite a deal. The rod is actually made in Japan and has a high modulus content, stainless steel frames with sic inserts. It also has the nishijin weaving on the reel seat. My weighs in at 2 oz and I have caught lake trout vertically jigging with this rod over 20 lbs. The caution from tenryu states the graphite is very delicate (HM) and no high sticking or sudden load should be applied to rod, this is my favorite rod by far and equivalent rod USA is 3x as much and the tubular tip makes it more durable IMO vs solid carbon.

That is where I bought mine from at $226 shipped. I can’t wait to try it out on some trout or crappie.

The Lunakia is about as fine as they come. While I certainly don’t need anymore rods…and seeing as how I’m going though money like it was candy, completely furnishing a new home….the price is absolutely a bargain….so…. I think I will get one of the short ones…not sure which one yet.

Tried to copy and paste the specs on these rods from JDM website. What am I missing, seems strange the weight max on the rods. The shorter rods have 2 gm. and 3 gm. max and even the 6'10 rated as ML rod maxes out at 5 gms. In comparison to the Eradicator series that I have 4 different models if I remember correctly the 6'7" UL which is 100% graphite has a rating of up to 7 gms. I'm sure Randy would explain better?
