a few years ago my wife had some plastic baits in her tackle box, they seemed to work well, but i never saved one for a pic, what is looks like is a charlie brewer slider with the paddle tail, only but it is about 1/4" shorter. and the body is not as fat, any ideas

Booty thumpers.
Slabanator jigs
Could it have been a 1" CB Crappie Slider Grub ??
All other "paddle tail / boot tail" grubs are 1.5" long or longer.

I like the 1” for my bluegill jigs and beetle spins. Bluegill love to tear the tails off but they’re worth it.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Bob's Custom Jigs makes a 3/4" bait called the flapper. I have good luck with a purple velvet monkey body and FL orange tail.
