Weekend crowds can be a bummer - that’s one nice thing about being retired! That said, working folks have to go when they can - I try and wait for the weekdays!

I went to the water reservoir that’s closest to me this morning with a plan of playing catch with the little gills off the dock .
When I arrived at 8:20 this morning, almost every arm of the dock had at least two people already fishing .
So , I packed up and went to the town pond .
It was fairly crowded also , but all but one other fisherman were walking the track .
I started with a foam bug and got several hits but no hookups.
I switched to a wet spider and caught one by the bridge .
The bite died quickly and the sun was beating down on me , so I went to the shay side of the pond .
I tied a foam bug back on and decided that’s the way I wanted to ketch’em . Can’t beat the topwater bite , even though a lot of them are misses .
Ended up catching two nice ones with one of them looking like a hybrid of some type .
They both put a nice bend in my 2wt .

Nice looking pretty fishes. Must be getting pretty hot down there, on early and off early is my guess.
