I always make sure to buy extras when I find a good one. Learned that from my pops.
Berkley Crappie Pro rods got hard to find and sure enough, they were discontinued.
Glad I stocked up. I think I have 20 more r so. And got them 1/2 price of current rods on the market.

Yes, you can definitely have too many rods. I have never been able to determine what number is "too many". After reading this thread I have decided "too many" is five more than I own at that point in time.

Unless I find five or more on sale at a price too good to turn down. Then I will be forced to revise that number upward.

I knew I had too many when I had to sell some to buy more. When you have 2 dozen rods at an average of 300 bucks a pop you know you got too many…LOL. The good thing I was able to sell 5 a while back but last 2 months have purchased 4 more. Got my eye on some more too…life is good and getting better!

    Regards

We are renovating our house and I finally get a dedicated tackle room which I am pretty pumped about. I am still struggling to find rod racks that I am happy with that aren't super expensive. I just traded in 6 rods for one the other day, so I am making a little progress in cutting back. Down to 39 rods. Now if I could stop buying baits and lures every time I see then on sale. I for sure have an issue or 2. it makes me feel better to know I am not the only one with such issues.
