I’d bet on 6#.
There’s a 0% chance they put 2# line on the reel, and the odds are low that they used 4#.
More people use 6#, and they’re selling a reel for the majority.
I recently acquired a B n M pro50 reel. It works smooth and well. It came pre-spooled and works smooth and well. Loved the feel of it. Question is, When I asked them what weight the line is I was told 6#. It seems to me to be maybe 4# or even 2#. Does anyone have an idea if I am just wrong? I have 4# on a reel and 6# on another. I do not have enough experience with the feel of different line sizes to just say I know by feel. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I may just be overthinking it.

If your not sure or questioning it I would suggest changing line to what you want on it. I have those same reels and the line was fine for me even though I didn’t pay attention to the line weight.

thanks. It may be just a brand I am not familiar with. It casts well and seems strong so I will use it until I can't, lol. Not that I am a cheapskate,

A micrometer would tell you the thickness and that could be compared to others that way. But I’m more for putting on what you’re cinfident in so it’s not eating at your subconscious

Most of the time if a combo comes spooled with line I end up changing it pretty quickly.

I want to say the BnM PRO100 reel on the combo I won was 8# line. But yeah I usually change any pre-spooled line pretty quickly if not before first use with line of my choice.

if it don't break easily and feels light I would fish it till it quit ,who cares what bursting test they "say" it is ...
seen prespooled reels many times with line that seemed much heavier than stated and a few times it seemed lighter than stated .
in the end if it works who cares right ?
