Finished the tanning process today and dyed some. Felt it went real well for the first time tanning anything. Fleshing and stretching is the hard part...but the skins are real soft and flexible. Had to stretching the dyed pieces again. They don't smell at all. Key is stretching as they dry. Going to get jiggy with them tomorrow. Kind of nice using something that would have been thrown away.

Turned out pretty good. Good use of materials available.
Great reuse of material. Have you tank rested the jigs?

Yes St Lucia goats. Here are some I tied this morning. Am wishing the hair was a bit longer. Some is...but I think these are ok. Will be great for 1/16 and 1/32. Will have to be selective on these 1/8.

I think that is a good length. Nice job.
Nice craftsmanship. Have you tank tested one to see how the goat hair moves? On a side note, I had some curried goat in Trinidad years ago. Good stuff!
