Wow, with a big Respectfully, Thanks. Our community's success depends more on the knowledge of a Crappie's behavior in my opinion than our economic position or investment. The satisfaction of a successful trip Crappie fishing using equipment "homemade" is great. The cost of these extra long nets commercially has limited some from having one. In the local group I teach Crappie fishing to I have made these for everyone to help them be successful.

Nice and affordable...You can also jam some pool noodle inside both ends then insert hoop and cap end for air tight tube.

The end cap from the original net handle fits right over, tight. As ask the tubing wall thickness is .058in, it comes in 20ft lengths, I buy it from Town & Country. They bought out one of my suppliers E-Tec. E-Tec makes all the fittings, pads, pipe, hardware to make T-Tops.
The tubing is Brite Dipped Anodized Drawn Aluminum. Same stuff Bimini Top Bows are made out of. My last delivery was 30 joints so I have quite a bit on hand since I retired.
I realized I never posted a finished net with the floating foam on the handle.

We're all going to need one beginning this month. Ketchn posted the fish were on the bottom, I don't know if he's fishing a lake or river but our big Whites are moving deep in the river now. I just made a heavy duty rod protector for my Tin boat. Got a 16ft Wally Marshall Signature on the way from Grizzly Jig. I will cut the handle off below the reel seat then refinish the butt. So hauling a 15+ft jig pole in a 14ft Tin boat is a challenge but when jigging 17-20ft deep I'm going to need the reach of that net handle to drag my fish in. I had the best winter of my life last year fishing this way. Big River Whites, the Blacks usually out weigh the Whites but not last winter. We are drying out to boot. The salinity is rising fast pushing the big Hammers right to me.
