Thanks Ken,
Nice catch!
I went to about 20 different spots that on Saturday did well. Some of the brush was in 14 foot. 19 foot on Friday last week. WOW.
I am limited to the north end near Hartford. My electric boat stays within 1 to 2 miles of launch. I might have to start trying to go under the bridge and head south and start exploring that.
Covering unknown water at night is not my favorite. So I will have to get a day where I just long line around and get familiar with it before going at night.
Plenty of good spots on that shoreline at Hartford launch. Go left and fish all the way up the shoreline there. Those blowdowns are holding some good fish right now just as they do in the spring. Go small and light. Many guys think they have to use bigger baits this time of year because the fish are putting on the feed bag but they’re already full with all the shad here in this lake but can’t pass up a tidbit swimming by. Here’s some proof. All the fish in the box are 12 and over.
Yeah that's where I have been. I seen you a while back working the second corner in the microspoons boat. I was on the first inside turn pounding them casting a jig. The size of the fish just off the brush has been incredible. getting blacks in the 16 range is more fun then I deserve. Whites just don't fight as hard.
Thanks for your tips you gave me this spring at "OLD LINDAS" on Skeeter.
By the way I am getting large crappie on sunken bridge on skeeter between 4.:40 am to sunrise. This one I got at 7:28 am on Wednesday. By 8:00am the fish get smaller and smaller. lots of tens. then dink city when all the boats show up and I leave.
