I have used these in the past. They work pretty well
Hi everyone! Just got back from a fishing trip..and have a question and hopefully you guys can help. For some Crappie fishing I use 6lb braided line and tie direct to a jig head. Since I vertical jig sometimes I like to use a loop knot since supposedly it provides better action for my lure. I use a no-slip loop knot for other line types but when I use it with 6lb braid it tends to slip and I've lost confidence in it for braid. When these failures have happened I've compensated by using a palomar knot or improved uni but i figure I'm losing action when I vertical jig. Is there a loop knot that works better with braid, or is there some other way to work around this problem? Thanks in advance for any suggestions and ideas.

Add a leader of flouro or mono then use loop knot.

I use the Richard Gene loop knot. I use PP slick8 and 832 advance and it slipped yet. DBD has convinced me that a loop knot isn't necessary and polamar knot will work fine. You will just need to ensure the knot is positioned where the jig hangs level each time you hook something

For braid I like the Kreh knot on jigs.
Non-Slip (Kreh) Loop Knot - 101Knots
Yes at times braid will slip with loop knot causing the knot to tighten but I have never had this be a problem. I’m not totally convinced with loop knot. Over the years I have used a palomor knot mostly when using braid. Only time I use loop knot is when using two jigs. Top one gets the loop knot. I catch no more fish one way or the other. Palomar knot is about the easy and toughest knot you can tie with braid.
