As always great stories and photos. I always enjoy the ride along. Not sure what’s up with the two old geezers.

I give away most my crappie but can’t say I’ve ever had anyone approach me and ask for my fish! That’s crazy.

We were walleye fishing late one fall and released several fish when a boat approached us and got verbally aggressive as to what I thought I was doing. Those were fish he could have caught if I wouldn't have stuck them. You can only imagine my response. People are just bold sometimes.

Today was a quickie as wifey wanted me back home early. I managed twenty and headed home. All were smalish with no nice ones. Again the 3/16th ounce heads right beside the boat did best. I just cannot believe they are so BOLD. Great fun when they strike so close to you.
Take a look at this and read what it says.
As seen in the museum I took her to today. “Ravenous and bold like a leopard”. This is a drawing/painting made by William Bartram. He was known as the first naturalist that penetrated the dense tropical forests of Florida. He painted flowers, plants, animals and fish and birds, creating a book known as Bartram’s Adventures. The time frame was surrounding the formation of our nation- 1776. They have named all sorts of things in his honor. The Bartram Trail, schools, etc. Well I think this is a crappie because it looks like a crappie and the description Bartram gives describes a crappie lifestyle.
The original hangs in the Natural Museum in London.
Took her to lunch and a small shopping excursion where she got a few things. She let me go fishing as much as I wanted, so……

I kayaked quite a few miles of Bartram trail in the upper part of the Mobile River Delta. Went all amoung some of the Indian burial mounds. It was a really nice paddle.
An idea here. A real ‘What If’s. Yes the underspin wire is crudely formed.
I’ll think some more about all this trolling jig thing.
So these fish have no problem keying in on a plastic flapper thingie going by, and snatch it almost off the aluminum hull itself,……maybe adding jingle bells isn’t a grand concept after all. As soon as I set it down to beholdeth my creation, I was thinking spinner blades for bass. So now reading about trolling spinner baits.
I think it’s cool.

As soon as I set it down to beholdeth my creation, I was reminded of a bass lure. Looks similar, but much smaller. Jingle Bells gets played while the crappie get slayed.
I think it’s cool, and I possess the only legal votes, so I am gonna explore some more.
