Nice! I’d put a switch on that birds power wire to cut it off so that doesn’t happen again and carry a set of jumper cables to jump off the trolling battery too!

    Great catch!!
Might think about putting a set of jumper cables in you boat. Jump start battery off of trolling motor batteries.
    Or a jumper box.

Wasn’t sure that could be done when it is 24v. How do you attach cables ?
Maybe they will bite this one……

Just use 1 of the batteries positive and negative post. 1 battery and I repeat 1 battery.

DO NOT USE THE POSITIVE/NEGATIVE WITH JUMPER MAKING 24 volt!!!!

    Again I repeat, Single(1) battery.
Not trying to be rude,,,,just clear.

If you want to be sure, remove your jumper that makes your 24 volts.

I had to teach some soldiers that trick one time when I was in high school. My fist car would drain the battery, alternator bad. I had been at work and their was some soldiers their with a dodge army service truck. I wondered over and asked if I could get a jump and one replied sorry but the truck is 24 volts. I asked if he would like to learn something and proceeded to jump the car of one of his batteries. The two were quite amazed a young kid new something they didn't...lol.
I still carry jumper cables in every vehicle I have, and a spare set in my shed...
Glad you still got out and caught some nice fish. And I agree with the earlier post of a kill switch on that fish finder...

I have quick disconnects on my trolling batteries and can quickly disconnect setup and jump off one battery.

I have a power shut off that the marina put on that kills the power to everything in the boat. I had a tackle box fall over going down the highway right on the trolling motor switch to turn it on continuous. Problem was the tarp was on the boat and prevented the prop from turning and burned up the brushed in my troller. Went to a kill switch.
